I understand that you can only get 7 years of SLE for hecs/csp.

But what happens if you commence a second degree and in your last year you run out of SLE. Does the uni let you finish the course or can you just pay full fee for the last year?

I've heard the labor gov has abolished full fee so how does this work? They're also thinking of making SLE unlimited in the future which would be great.

You should call up your uni, but last I checked you were able to be in debt of up to 80k before it ends?

As far as I know the uni isn't obliged to give you a DFEE place, so you'd need to check with them. Unis are now unable to give DFEE places to commencing undergraduates, but I'm not sure about continuing students.

(You could also take leave until you're 27 and get an extra 1 SLE...)
