Ive paid nothing so far. Go to the library early and borrow all your prescribed textbooks, then extend the lease for half a year online.

^ Yes.

Anyways, if I was to buy mine for first semester from UNSW's Bookshop thing - $403.98.
The best advice I can give is to go on textbook exchange and try to find them second hand. You'll probably pay like $200 maximum.

If I get them from Co-op, then it's over $400. Can get them online for much cheaper.

Thank God for the Book Depository.

I don't buy my textbooks unless i absolutely have to.

My readers and textbooks can easily cost over 800 a year.

but the textbooks for 1001A have not been listed.. Just interested to see how much reading Im in for over the next semester haha
http://www.coop-bookshop.com.au/bookshop/action/DataSubjSelect Search there

For LAWS1001A we need
1. Australian Guide to Legal Citation (MULR)
2. Intro78 Legal System value pack (Nemes&Coss, Hall&Macken)
3. Connecting with Law 2E & Prac Legal Skills 3E value pack (Sanson&Hyams)

and probs a law dictionary thrown in there. I dont think I'll get the recommended "surviving law" book.

First semester I had to buy brand new because they had re-done all the units and changed the prescribed textbooks now I sell them and buy mine second hand. Last year i was even able to do clean swaps with people having done units I was doing and vice versa. I manage to sell/swap most of my textbooks on here in the first and second week of uni.

I spend next to nothing selling my books and buying mine second hand too.

Using the unsw bookshop website it looks like i pay up to $1600 for commerce/law. Assuming that they are all brand new aswell, can anyone post some links of sites where we can buy them cheaper online?

I downloaded one of mine. I tried looking up my textbooks for my other courses and nothing yet.

Oh sweetie. He's trying to assert his homosexual superiority over you Aqua. I wouldn't take that.

FYI not all courses have your required textbooks up yet.
