Excellent for extracirrculars. If you got time do both. I made it into the state NSW titration championships it was fun to do it with your friends and also might improve your relationship with your teacher. Do realise if you make it further you would need to input extra work in order to go through the competitions. It would help a lot if you're applying for cadetships, medicine, dentistry, scholarships etc.
