Basically, I have had NO time to myself ever since Year 11 started ...
Everyday, I get back from school, have some tea, and until 11, i study/do homework.
I have an hand in essay for CAFS on Monday, as well as a Chemistry Exam, and I am on the verge of break point.

Please help! I am on here, because I am having a mind blank for the essay :(
What can I do to lighten my schedule and give some 'me' time ?

OH EM GEEE! I felt just like you a few weeks ago, and I actually started a thread about it too :p
To lighten your load, you could cut down on unnecessary commitments and prioritise your work. Say something is due next lesson, which is three days from now, prioritise that task/hw last and only work on it if you have spare time that day, if not do it the next day with a higher priority. No point killing yourself.

I think you are going a bit too overboard. Relax, your marks will not count anyway. Plan your study. Go take a rest.

I agree with Spi to a certain extent. Don't burn yourself out. But don't relax too much either, because when the actual HSC comes, and you haven't established your study regime I reckon you'll suffer a little bit.

Extension 1 is easy. In Year 11 your marks only count to your report. However, they will reset again (ranks) in Year 12.

Rank resets when you start year 12.
I'm managing everything except my apathy :p
Maths extension is pretty chill. The only thing that's killing me is tutor D:
He's making us cover polynomials+geometry in one week. LOL.

You're working too hard if you don't have any free time at this stage. You do not have to study every single night. Just get the homework done and chill. You don't go tutoring do you?

I agree with Jules_Shorty.
If I can have 9 hours of tutor a week+ annoying teachers that always give and check hw every lesson+interests outside of school AND still have time for myself to troll on bos and go out, you should be able to have time too.

I still say 9 hours of tutoring is excessive.
I agree, but if I don't go, i'll seriously fail school.
I'm not smart enough to survive my senior year without someone smart guiding me. Yes, i'm that pathetic.

thanks for the advice spiralflex, i would but i just can't! i hope everything is going well for you!
haha, well i go tutoring for 2 hours every saturday and sunday, but it's one and one, and solely for my help in my studies, so that is not a problem!

maths ext. takes about 2 hours every night, considering i only have 4 hours until i should sleep, and the other two hours for whatever else!
anyways, this was a great way to release all of this pressure! thanks!
oh and also, how do you think i should approach studying chemistry?

How bad are duh teachers @ your school?
You're better off not listening most of the time. They don't know what they're talking about. Some teachers don't even bother to teach and let us do our own thing. I do my math hw in business studies :D

Why does maths ext take so long? It doesn't take me more than 40mins per night. 2 hours of tutoring is decent but are they adding to your workload?

I would imagine approaching Chemistry would be the same as approaching Physics. Dot point notes, key verbs, questions and past papers.
