What are the requirements for Extension 2 Mathematics?
It depends on your school. At mine pretty much anyone could do it (as long as you'd completed Preliminary 3U of course), it was just a matter of who wanted to.I think it varies for each school. But I know you have to be invited, otherwise you can't do it.
Could anyone get into 3u if they wanted to? Or were they very selective to begin with?It depends on your school. At mine pretty much anyone could do it (as long as you'd completed Preliminary 3U of course), it was just a matter of who wanted to.
Half of my MX1 class does MX2.Wow I'm surprised at how massive the Ext 2 maths classes are at your school. My school has like a MAX of 3 people doing it a year. I dunno if many in my cohort will do Ext 2 maths, there's currently 11 in prelim 3u.
Oh, sorry I was talking about ext 1. Ext. 2 classes are usually 5 at most.Wow I'm surprised at how massive the Ext 2 maths classes are at your school. My school has like a MAX of 3 people doing it a year. I dunno if many in my cohort will do Ext 2 maths, there's currently 11 in prelim 3u.
No. I spend next to no time on MX2.Does MX2 cause your other subjects to deteriorate a little? Considering you're spending so much time on it and all, you'd think that your other subjects might suffer a little bit.
This is a lie.you have to be consistently getting over 90 in ext1 or else u'll fail ext2

Unfortunately since the sticky threads still don't work, generally you should be averaging 70% or more to do MX2. Rough guide. It's different for everybody.you have to be consistently getting over 90 in ext1 or else u'll fail ext2
Pretty much anyone could. No one from my year was rejected, and a person from the 3rd Maths class in Year 10 did 3U at the start of Year 11 (they ended up dropping after the first term though).Could anyone get into 3u if they wanted to? Or were they very selective to begin with?
I like how your school rolls...Pretty much anyone could. No one from my year was rejected, and a person from the 3rd Maths class in Year 10 did 3U at the start of Year 11 (they ended up dropping after the first term though).
Basically if you want to do it you can at my school. The teachers make recommendations to you, but ultimately you pretty much have the final say.
