Since I have nothing better to do, I want to start doing some video editing... Which software should I use? I dont have much experience... I've played around with Sony Vegas and Pinnacle before... any recommendations?

Also for designing... I've only done some on Photoshop, however was thinking I'd learn a bit on Corel Draw, any other recommendations?

Thanks =)

I have Adobe CS5 Master Suite. It is very good for all purposes.

I never liked Sony Vegas before.

Premiere pro is kinda too advanced for me at this stage I dont get half the stuff in it, mainly because I cbf learning it, wanna just see what's something for a semi beginner.

Sony Vegas is probably the best one I've tried. Windows Live Movie Maker is too basic.

As for design, there's GIMP which is free but PS is much better. There's also Paint Shop Pro but I'm not sure how good that is. It seems similar to PS.

Yes Premiere Pro by Adobe is good for advanced video editing, also they offer a broken down variation of PP called Essentials which is great for Youtube or converting to iPod etc.

I currently use an older version of Cyberlink's Power Directer which is very good with plenty of help from the net for tutorials, GUI help etc.
Also I've used Camtasia Studio in trial mode and my impressions from that experience was good. Camtasia provides plenty of support if you're wondering.
