You don't need Extension 1 Maths to do Physics, IMO. The maths involved is normally very simple, at least that's what I've heard.

That is right you don't. You can even do phys with general maths or no maths at all but it would be hard for you to cope.

Speaking of which, should I do Chem or Physics? I love them both to death, and I'm equally good at both, should I play a eni mini mini moo game? LOL.

Can't, our school doesn't allow 13 units, if you do wanna do more than 12, you have to do the rest at TAFE. Since I'm doing 3 Units of Maths, it complicates things.

You should get a piece of paper and a pen. Write the subjects you like in order. Then have a think about if you need it in your career path. It took me 6 hours of self-thinking for me to pick my subjects.

Wow very restricted school. But it just comes down to certain interests at the end of the day. But not to scare you, yr 11 phys is very boring hence why i'm dropping it :p

Physics is so fun and easy! Spiral goes nuts with electricity in class.

Don't have a passion for it compared to 12 months ago.

If it gets better in Year 12, why are your dropping it?
Have you looked at the syllabi for your subjects and asked past students from your school of what is required assessment task wise?

Well, I know in Legal you have to write heaps of essays. And yes, I have looked at the syllabus of all of them. Also, is anything from the premlin course tested in the HSC end of year exam in any of the subjects?

In my belief all content is a basis for the HSC course. For example, in Physics Year 11, they will test you on what you know on the "right hand grip rule". Maybe ask you it in one of the half yearlies and yearlies. But in Year 12, in a topic called Motors and Generators, you won't be DIRECTLY asked it. But you will be required to use it to help you understand other content. Get what I mean?

Yes, that is also another example. Protract, you won't necessarily be asked to solve an equation with the quadratic formula in the HSC examination. But you will need to understand and maybe implement it with one of the questions in the examination.
