dont murder or we will murder you okay

who murders the murderers

who murders the murderers murderers

what is the difference between killing someone in self defence. what if you kill someone in self defence and a crafty prosecution lawyer manages to make a murder conviction stick?

How is this thread so big? Yes it's a massive event but surely there isn't a great spectrum of opinions to discuss, yes it's a tragedy, yes it was that guy.

its not just that m8

how can you reconcile an opinion that is basically

"dont kill anyone or we will kill you"

?
so does that mean its ok for me to kidnap your mum and lock her in a cell in my garage for 21 years only letting her out into an exercise yard for a few hours a day

dont forcibly shove people in rooms for 20 years or WE'LL DO IT TO YOU

how can u reconcile that

People with hardons for torture getting all preachy about how they'd do violence against this guy.

Also it's a big event.

yeah but

we dont lock people up (supposedly) for 21yrs in a basement for no reason these days

the whole point (allegedly) of gaol now is to ~fix~ people

it isnt meant to be a punishment anymore, its meant to be rehabilitation

what do you mean "these days"

are you saying that back when we punished people for doing bad things we had no reason for it or no good reason because punishment in comparison to rehabilitation is a bad reason for doing something

wrong punishments a good reason for doing something

sometimes bad people just need to be smacked around a bit

like most of those cunts are fixable anyway

So far, I have been outlining studies of the effect of adoption on intelligence and
academic achievement. The effect of adoption on criminality has also been studied
extensively. The largest sample consisted of nearly everyone adopted in Denmark between
1927 and 1947, over 14,000 adoptees. At birth, all the adoptees were taken from their
biological mothers. A little over a quarter were immediately placed in their adopting homes;
the rest were put in orphanages. Of the latter, a little over half were placed in their adopting
homes before they were one. The age at which they were adopted had no effect on their
subsequent criminality. I will quote from the most accessible summary, in Science12.
(Science is the journal of The American Association for the Advancement of Science):
If neither the biological nor the adoptive parents are convicted [of a crime],
13.5 percent of the sons are convicted. If the adoptive parents are convicted
and the biological parents are not, this figure rises to only 14.7 percent.
However, if the adoptive parents are not convicted and the biological parents
are, 20.0 percent of the sons are convicted.

So adoptees’ rate of criminality correlated 5.4 times more closely with the rate of
criminality of their biological parents, whom they never knew, than with the rate of
criminality of the parents who raised them. But the force of genetics on criminality is
even stronger than that because, “The mean number of convictions for the chronic[ally
criminal] adoptee increases as a function of biological parent recidivism.” This is
extremely important because, although most criminals commit only one crime, most
crimes are committed by chronic criminals. Only 4.1% of these adoptees were convicted
three or more times, but they committed 70% of the crimes.

these days

comtemporary justice systems

revolve around rehabilitation whereas in the past the revolved around punishment and deterrance

old system didnt work as well (allegedly)

lower crime rates now

yes punishment is bad rehabilitation is good but i think there is an element of punishment regardless as you are deprived of freedom for several years while you are ~fixed~

some people cannot be rehabilitated, you are right.

you suggest we kill these people (obviously if their crime was relatively bad enough to warrant this)?

im fine with rehabilitating fags just so long as they suffer in the process

i doubt rehabilitation programs in prisons are beds of roses anyway

so you dont really agree with the death penalty so why are we even discussing it lol yeah if they are deemed unable to be rehabilitated then sit them in the corner to think about what they have done, forever
i like the idea of public executions and gladitorial combat

couldnt you just pay people for that

sign a contract

its not murder there are just heaps of accidents in this sport when people are fighting with swords and stuff
