These were my ranks prior to trials:

Biology 1/50
Advanced English 5/50
IT VET 1/12
Ancient 4/55
SOR 2 unit 2/50

...and i'm devastated to say that they are now:

Biology 3rd or 4th/50
Advanced English probs 10/50
IT VET 1/12
Ancient History 6/55
Studies of Religion 2 unit 3/50

And maths is the worst but probs won't count:
General maths 18/75

I'd say at the moment your looking at about 92-94. Your still an ok chance of making your goal, but you need to do really well in the externals.

Id say your at about 90-93.
That being said, your only half done. If you get externals worth about 99, you could certainly get an atar of 96.

Okay so those ranks were just what I was guessing as to where I was, these are what they really are.

Biology 3/40
Advanced English =9/54
IT VET 1/12
Ancient History 5/50
Studies of Religion 2 unit 3/50
General Maths =22/84

School rank was 130 in 2009 and 210 in 2010.

Is my goal any more achievable now? I'm still so pissed at myself for dropping so many ranks due to trials...

ive noticed that the ATAR estimates on this site are quite unforgiving and give a bleak outlook as to how much control you have over your ATAR

i know a student in my school last year who had mostly ranks 5-7 throughout his subjects (with math being his only number 1)

he churned out a high 98 (couldve even be 99 but i cant remember exactly)

so just from past observations (which you can surely make in your own school) your goal is certainly achievable

edit: yes, they were science subjects... even though your subjects arent the highest scaling you still have a good chance. just kill ur externals (your gonna need mid 90s for everything tho)
