but as i discovered, doing the same amount of work in university only gets you mediocre marks. maybe a low D for an easy subject, but mid credits at best.

wow nice ahhahaha .. but you probs concentrated well in class... (i know a guy similar to you, who just works crazy in class but 0 study at home) and gets pretty tank marks lol.

idk i didnt do shit in chemistry. paid moderate attention in the others
cant remember rankings except for bio, came 2nd (missed out on first by 0.07 of a mark)
maths = 3rd

its alright, the timetabling unit is pretty shitty though and for some odd reason they want to have midsem break after week 10 (in a 13 week semester)

a lot of international students from china (too many)
a lot of stuck up rich people from mosman etc.
a lot of hipsters

oh gosh sydney uni seems like hell seeing the combination of people there.. (MACQ is worse , you've got beijing all around you lol hahahaha.) DUDE i swear sydney uni has the most stuck up people i feel for ya

this is really random; but i really want to get 90+
these are my ranks and approx marks

English Adv 1st --87
Legal Studies 2/6--85 (the top two are like 2% different)
Maths Ext 1 2nd-3rd/7 75-80
Maths Ext 2 4/4 --40% =S (three top ppl are getting like 80-90s)
Physics HSC mark 78
SOR 1 2/9 86%

You improve on everything you haven't gotten 100% in. Simple. That's the fact. If you do that, you'll get better marks and then a higher ATAR.

Will you get a 90 if you do really well in the externals? I wouldn't bet on it.

fairly accurate, usually up to about 0.5 off according to reports from last year's students

At worst, they can be 2 points off, but usually they are within one point. For me, the calculators were between 0.3 - 0.4 off.
