Was at uni yesterday. What's up with the shipping containers on eastern avenue?

It's this year's Verge festival.

And I agree with funkshen - they're extremely annoying - especially after whoever came along and spraypainted the containers - made Eastern Avenue smell like the Graffiti Tunnel.

Did anyone see the bajillion police/riot squad at USyd today?

Looked like USyd was under siege.

i don't see the rationale of squatting at all

Neither do I.

That being said, I do vaguely recall that you can't be arrested for squatting...so maybe that's the rationale behind that? But I think they got pinged for illegal trespass, and subsequently assault police.
