Re: advice needed! mirin' my choices?

if u want to go into accounting steer clear of engo and science degrees. this will just be a waste of time and unneccessary workload.
theres nothing wrong with just doing the one degree B comm (accounting) by itself but if you do want to maximise options then choose B comm/B eco since the additional economical knowledge will make u more employable.

the double degree is the same workload during the year but usually they go for longer than single degrees (ie for 5 years)

If you want to be employed as an accountant, double degrees don't mean much.
Just do commerce, double major in accounting and finance if you''re into financial services (most acountants i''ve talked to do this combination).
Then go get yourself an internship/vacation work at an accounting firm, preferably the big 4, during uni. If you're good you'll get a job offer when you graduate, or at least you have experience to differentiate yourself from the thousands of commece grads all going for the same job as you.

Probably just comm or comm/eco is what I would suggest
Major in accounting/finance/economics
With science/adv maths and engineering you can only do 1 commerce major so its kind of restrictive in that sense and not really relevant to the field of accounting

if you solely want an accounting career- straight comm degree ( accounting/finance)
if you're unsure what field of business you want to enter/ or interested in eco- comm/eco
comm/law wouldn't be that useful if you want to pursue an accounting career.

If you want to do accounting, then do a Commerce degree. It doesn't really matter what else you have combined with it if you just want to do accounting.
