Our school did the independent paper, except for math, I think we made our own.

I didn't perform well in trials, but what would happen if I were to get 90+ for each of my actual HSC exam ?

I reakon 85-90, one unit of maths probably wont count. If you get 90+ in the externals, then I'd say 89-93.

Its extremely unlikely, but since the HSC is worth 50% anything is possible.

i think chance of 97 is very very low. atm id say:

87.50-90.25

Try experimenting with an ATAR caluclator, they can give you a really accurate idea of what marks are need for a certain ATAR.
