Re: Einstein's going down, physicists!

no obviously not lol

I meant that no one would know/care that things have exceeded the speed of light
Why act like a bitch who's a know it all and speaking up for everyone?

This is interesting news and if you're too bogan for it then shut up and keep it to yourself.

m8 he explained that he is saying the vast majority of people don't care

yeah and you're one person

prime time news that broadcasts to the entirety of Sydney isn't going show news stories that only a handful of people will care about

It may be possible that the speed of light was calculated incorrectly and that using todays technology has given a more "accurate" result.

speed of light: distance light travels in 1/299792458 seconds. speed of light was broken by 60 nanoseconds.

no really, that was probably a good try at explaining it imo.

That's the definition of one meter. If you're doing the HSC now there's like a whole dotpoint for this.

The experiment I think was that the neutrinos/some of other subatomic particle traveled faster from the hadron collider to somewhere in Italy faster than light did.

We define the speed of light in a vacuum and do all other kinds of shit to take into account impacts such as gravity

I don't think it's been measured incorrectly

ye but the point was, it's not "idiotic" to suggest that. :s

Re: Einstein's going down, physicists!

that's why scientists increased the speed of light in 2208.
