What ever happened to this thread? I was keen on keeping track of your progress 'ya_mum'... How are your ranks looking so far if I may ask?

Also another question, how did you find the UMAT? I also sat the UMAT and it was okay. Wasn't as complicated as I first presumed.

Once you go to Uni, your ATARs not going to matter... and most courses don't need such high atar.

Yes, but to get to Uni in the first place they do. And as slyhunter said, some course DO require high ATARs

4th year law students applying for a lot of top tier and mid tier law firms through http://www.cvmail.com.au/ [most firms like Clayton Utz, Mallesons, Blakes etc etc], require an input of some form of Secondary Education score. For most people, this means an ATAR.

That's not to say that it's weighted as heavily as...say...your university extracurriculars, and your university marks. But dismissing it as a non-factor is a little foolish.
