This sounds about right, except I think english might be a bit higher (93-95/105). However, with english its very hard to tell because paper one is worth 40% whilst paper 2 is worth 60% meaning that BOS aligns a mark out of 100 and not 105.

I reakon MX2 for the OP would need to be a bit higher.

you should aim for
98 Chemistry (im not sure but at least 92-93 raw)
98 MX1 (78-80/84)
97 MX2 (103-105/120)
then you can get at least 99.90
LOL but that's just to be secure, coz it might be harder to get 99.95 this year, since the scaling for the higher scaling subjects has gone down slightly in recent years

man that is ridiculous, i have no idea how all you sydney school kids can go so well in math ext 1 and math ext 2 yet the simple recall subjects like chem and physics a 90% will get state rank.

also they mark extremely tough in the hsc. if its a really hard paper even 86 % could get u a state rank.
ha, i do the hsc. yeah and that is the only reason i can think of, extremely tough marking. anyway love the rural bonus points so marks are less important to me now.
