I usually get around 1 hour and 40 minutes, with 20 min left, get around high 70s - low 80s, which is quite good

In the same boat, but I get around 75 after the hour generally.
TBH i try to go as fast as possible but it sort of makes me panic when I have to stop and think about a question. I think in the HSC im gonna take it slow and try to finish after like 1 hour 40 mins and use the last 20 to just take a quick glance and everything

how much do you need to scrape an E3? lol
56/84 is roughly what is needed for E4, E3 should be about 40+ I would assume.

I get about 70% in my MX1 exams which is about 60/84 which is not that great, unfortunately. In the 2002 paper, I got 66/84 which is decent for about a 94 which I would be happy with. I usually lose afew marks in the early questions in Q1 to Q5 where there's about 7 or 8 or so marks lost due to silly mistakes... =/ and in Q6 and Q7 I get about 15/24 of the marks available.

I race through it fast but I try not to panic. When I can't get something I just quickly skip it hoping when I come back the answer is obvious.

Same way as I've been doing the past HSC papers - go through quickly and skip what I can't do straight away. Worked in the Trials.
