same i got one from Sydney uni!!!

They get it from UAC, I believe. So if you put Sydney Uni anywhere on your preferences list, you'll get an email from them.

I did.. i got a letter in the mail even though it was like my 7th preference

And an actual letter from maq even though i put them as 9th lol.

well macq has well less applicants. UNSW and Usyd have a large number which makes personal letters logistically difficult to handle.

I did.. i got a letter in the mail even though it was like my 7th preference

heh yeah I got one too because it was my 4th and 7th preferences
the rest of them were UNSW preferences
and I got an email from UNSW congratulating me for choosing them as their first preference
