Do Advanced as it's easier to drop down if you are really struggling. You'll also notice the difference in work ethic between Advanced & Standard.

Make sure you guys pick the subjects you want to do and not because of its scaling or the fact your friends are doing it.

I'm really excited about all the subjects I'm doing! It's gonna be great to only have to do subjects that I want to do, rather than annoying subjects like PHDPE and Geography..

Good advice though.

It's like me speaking. Cannot wait to get PDHPE and Geo out of my life.

You do swimming in PE?

PE was fun, going to miss it in a way.
Yes, we had to do swimming in term 1 and 4.. hated it. Luckily we didn't have to do swimming this year though.
PE was sooo not fun for me, I'm gonna be so glad when its over.

Getting PDHPE and Geo out was the best thing ever!

My advice;
If you're conflicted about what level to do a subject, try the higher one first, you can always drop down later and not wonder if you should have picked the higher course
Start Yr 11 with as many units as you can so you can try more subbies
Consider the balance between subjects with major projects, theory intensive + prac intensive etc.
If you're considering doing a Continuers language, it's one of those main subjects people regret not continuing with due to the usefulness of a language

And yeah, good luck guys! The start of Yr 11 is so much fun with all the new shiny subjects, the difference in timetable and all the subjects you hate (unless it's eng, out of luck) ARE GONE!
