And the person who posted here about being a promoter/photographer for the Vanity night club thing never replied.

Also Lolsmith keeps bugging me to get one. This was him on Thursday when we took the train and bus home: "GET A JOB. GET A JOB. GET A JOB. GET A JOB"*

So anyway, how can I get a job?

Someone told me that if you're having trouble finding a job, then go to centrelink and join one of their programs, forgot what it was called.

They help you look for a job in areas that you're interested. Obviously they won't be high classed jobs, but more-so in retail, hospitality, manual labour, etc.

Dont. Ever. Do. This.

First job was through CL, underpaid, poor work conditions, was fired (i quit apparently) for asking for my award title. Mate of mine was just made redundant there.

Well, if you are underpaid, it means your labour isn't worth minimum wage. Suck it up. I might have to do this if i can't find a job.

Oh really? I was about to do this as I had spent 5 months after HSC still without a job (uni had started). Then luckily got a job as admin assistant. I don't know if you know a guy called Thomas? He's one of our uni friends (he's like 21 or something, took a gap year). Anyway, he did this and he told me he got a job as a teller at CBA. I saw him there few weeks ago.

no, i was underpaid by $1.5p/h. Work Place relations tore the company a new asshole.

And labour was more intensive then the work im doing now, and i get paid more.

Woolies? But I'm not an attractive young female. I'll never get the job =(

And what will my resume say? "No experience, but can help fellow employees with maths homework"

Or, the employer is exploiting you.

ok here its how it works

-get a job (anywhere) you would get hired with blank resume
-get experience, move around for a few jobs
-after working in places, getting a job in any retail is easy.

hardest part, getting your first job.

But... where is anywhere?! I want a job I'll have a chance at getting. So no applying for Hooters, no applying for a check-out chick, no applying for happy-go-lucky girl mascot.

The only job I got so far this year is some contract job for surveying pedestrian traffic. Getting a bit sick of being unemployed as well. Might end up having to work at Maccas
