I used to work in audit and sometimes it can get a bit crazy (busy season/demanding client etc). To my knowledge most firms don't pay overtime.

At best you get time off in lieu (or equivalent) and discretionary bonuses. And gift cards (not that I mind these since they're tax free).

a) Yes UTS is absolute crap. Don't even put resumes like that in front of me
b) In fact studying is mostly crap. Feel sorry for you. Go make money instead of spend money.

I personally prefer these as opposed to a higher base since a higher base just means you get taxed more and it rewards people who don't necessarily perform better. But then I'd also reconsider social budgets being reallocated to higher staff salaries!
