Freedom.

You get to learn about things that you are actually interested in.

Not as many annoying idiots around as there were in high school.

this. in high school you had idiots in some of your classes (if you didn't go to a top ranking selective school) who clearly didn't want to be there and would NOT shut up at all.

at uni, everyone pretty much pays attention to the lecturer, or if not then they're on their phone/laptop and not distracting others.

The ability to actually play around with things without being told "It's not in the syllabus".

And yeah the lectures actually being quiet.

Freedom.

I can set classes when I want, come to class when I want, do what I want... it's great!

To be around like minded people (for most of the time anyway).

As mentioned before, freedom of timetable and freedom of dickheads, unless you're a first year science student who thinks it's *awesome* to fuck around with gas taps and stick pencils up in them

Also, no obligation to talk to anybody if you don't want to and people won't think anything of it.

nothing says "prestige" like a pencil in the gas tap when you come into the chemistry lab

And this is why at 500billion dollars, Apple is now more wealthier than the whole country of Greece.
I like macs but they're way too overpriced.
