Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Personally, I thought he'd be dropped for this test. But apparently not.
True, but the series was already won, I think people predicted the pitch to be a batting track so the selectors probably thought it was worth a shot letting him play to see if he could find form. But as slyhunter said he probably wont be picked for the next test series. Some shield cricket would do him good

That's true, I suppose. I mean, they gave other struggling batsmen a few chances - suppose Marsh should get them too.

Wonder if he'll make the ODI squad.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Listen to the Australian media. Marsh is just having a bad day.
They said that for the last 3 matches as well.

well they are correct to an extent. he played amazing in sri lanka then got injured. and on his return hasnt been able to find form. i think they should drop him for a bit and let him get back to form in shield cricket. he's still relatively young so dropping him wouldnt be devastating for his career or anything like that.

Probably would have done better than Marsh... hahaha. Not that I don't like Marsh but he played horrible.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

Marsh was not opening, nor was his place in question heading into the series. It would have been Cowan, Warner or Ponting that would have forced to make way.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

looks pretty solid. i like dave hussey in limited overs cricket because he is an economical spinner as well as a good bat. also good to see matt wade get a chance in place of haddin.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

how good was matthew wade. he looks like he could take haddin's spot in all three formats some time this year.
