These are my first assessment tasks' marks, things are not looking good for me :/

Chemistry - 90% (Pretty easy test though)
Biology - 54% (Hard test)
Maths - 65%
Economics - 65%
English - 40% (lots of people did bad though...)

School rank: 290 in 2010

I think it's almost safe to say you need to improve on all of them to stand a chance of a band 6 let alone state ranks... However it is only one assessment, make sure you prepare well in advance for your next ones. And as Dylanmali said, we need your rank in the class. It allows us to take a rough guess at how tough the test may have been.

EDIT: Even a rough guess of your ranks.

Yeah - sorry but without ranks it's almost impossible to provide you with an ATAR estimate.
But if your sig is correct and your aiming to be an All Rounder - and with an all rounder comes an atar of 98+ minimum.. I'd definitely agree with OmmU and say that you need to pick up your game.

At a school ranked 290.. you should be aiming for top 3 ranks across ALL your subjects.
I went to a school ranked 280 in 2010, 150 in 2011 - and I needed top 3 ranks to obtain the ATAR I received.

In all honesty, however, your raw internal marks at the moment aren't looking too preety and unless your entire cohort stuffed up these assessments, you need to really look for improvement.

At a school rank 290, to be an all rounder you'd probably have to be dux or close.

Failing tests or minimally passing them will not help you towards your aim. Your chem mark is good. Obviously ranks are more important when estimating, but still...

My school is like rank 200, and sometimes we don't get an all rounder but normally we only get one or two (if we're lucky three).

The fantastic news is that you have plenty of time to pick up your game! I know a BOSer that turned themselves around from their first assessment results.

65% in Maths doesn't get close to Band 6 no matter what.
40% in English is pretty bad unless they had stupid marking schemes.

A good student will still perform well in a hard test. My tests were all considered hard but I manage to surpass 80%.

agreed, my school hasn't seen an all rounder in probably 4 years or so..
and I dux'd it with 98.75 - this is a school that floats around 250.

This is very hard to predict for the reason that, if you're getting 100% everywhere, then it's either you are very good or the school sets very easy tests.
All your subjects seem to have ridiculously high top marks (such as SOR and Business) giving me the impression that they are setting quite easy exams. I would predict a 95+ but this can range all the way up to 99+ or just 80+.

^+1,

I'm thinking that it's a combination of easy assessments and him being quite academically rounded.
Just an estimation, but I'd say 95+.
Only thing that is worrying me is that english had a top mark of 84% and that your 3u cohort only has 3 people :O!

English might be the only faculty that is marking properly rather than throwing away marks but then again, we can't exactly judge that. Going by the fact that there are 25 students in English Advanced, they either have a small cohort or a lot of English Standard students so and so 3 MX1 students sounds quite normal.

nah we have a small cohort of about 60 in the whole year. umm i dont know but i got 5 band 6's in school certificate and a mid band 5 in english.
i dont know if sc tests a studentsability but considering i only studied aybe a week before i think i did quite well.

to be honest i have 5 very strong competitors (all 5 who got full marks in SOR) and these people are split up in all my subjects so yeaa.
