If God is all powerful then all knowing, then why:
1.did he create the devil in the first place?
2.why doesn't he get rid of him already?
1. He didn't create him evil. The devil was originally part of the perfect heavenly spirits. But he was jealous of Jehovah God and wanted to be worshipped as God was.
2. God could get rid of him but when the devil rebelled he challenged Jehovah God. When God commanded Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree he told them if you eat it you will die. But when the devil tricked Adam and Eve into eating the fruit he told them when you eat the fruit you will become like God asserting that God was not telling the truth. They believed Satan and disobeyed God. The Devil thus succeeded in setting the first human couple on a course of rebellion against God. His ultimate goal being to turn people away from worshipping the true God and gain their worship for himself. In doing this the devil questioned Gods power and His right to rule. According to the devil, God was not ruling through love. He claimed that the reason why God’s creatures were obedient was, not because they loved him, but because God gave good things to those who obeyed him, that He ruled, in effect, by a form of bribery. But God knew that his rulership was right. He could have destroyed the Devil then and there. But this would not have settled the issue that had been raised. So, for the sake of his own name as king, and for the sake of all his family of faithful persons living then and in the future, God permitted wickedness to continue for a limited time. If God had put Adam and Eve to death immediately, none of us who have lived on earth would ever have been born. Even though Adam and Eve had turned bad, God knew that not all their descendants would do so. Many would serve God through all the tests that the Devil could bring. God therefore allowed the devil to continue, and he permitted Adam and Eve to have children. Many of their descendants have proved faithful, as the Bible record testifies. Jehovah God had the power to stop wickedness at any time, but held back for a purpose, not for his personal benefit, but for that of intelligent creatures of the universe now and for all time to come. God has therefore permitted wickedness and suffering for the settlement of the issue of his universal sovereignty. And in settling the issue, God has also made provision for lifting the human race out of its sad condition.

So, God created Lucifer, not knowing that he would turn bad. But does this go straight in the face of the idea of God people all powerful and all knowing? He would have known that Lucifer would turn bad and Adam and Eve would take the apple. But this is all philosophical stuff, that cannot be proven. Where is all the evidence for this? Where is the evidence that Adam and Eve even existed?
And I think Lucifer may have been right, " According to the devil, God was not ruling through love. He claimed that the reason why God’s creatures were obedient was, not because they loved him, but because God gave good things to those who obeyed him, that He ruled, in effect, by a form of bribery." Pretty much what it is.

But what is the purpose of letting evil and wickedness continue if he is going to end it anyway? Why not stop it there and then and end all the suffering?

I know my opinion adds basically nothing considering there is already 1063 pages of whatever but I'd still like to say that it seems far more likely that god is a creation of the mind than a benevolent omniscient deity. I have gone fairly deeply into the history and origins of Christianity and read some bible chapters through sheer curiosity and this is where I stand. This still goes for any other kind of belief as the changes are relative to location and the experiences of the creator of the belief yet the concept of a faith based god is the same for the majority of religions.

More importantly, it is pretty surreal that after 1124 voters, the opinion is split almost exactly in half.

I mean that people create the idea of a supreme being to help them understand what they do not understand. It is far easier to believe in a supreme being than to try to explain something which has not yet been explained eg. start of the universe. It does not make it more likely though.
