You no longer need iTunes to activate your iPhone or buy applications/music. You can do that all from an iPhone 4S (or any iPhone running iOS 5).

ahaha really? it's software manipulation of a product. the only thing it's against is apple's T&Cs, why would you feel obliged to follow it like international law?

Refer to above post re: copyright violation. i.e. Whilst jailbreaking itself hasn't really been proven to be illegal (at least not in Australia), going any further and discussing how to obtain pirated software is violating intellectual property rights is.
