What exactly is UMAT? Is it worth preparing for (via programs etc) (1 Viewer)

So my mum just had a rant at me about how I should be preparing for UMAT.

Should I be? I've heard it's basically like IQ/general knowledge/GA and that for certain people, you should, and others, you don't really need to.

Only 1 part is like an IQ test, the others sections are more situational questions.

- Only do umat if you are consideribg a career in medicine.

i have no idea what i want to do. i have 30% chance of wanting to do med, i think i still have more to discover of myself?
right now, i'm going to try to aim for the highest possible atar and go from there

that's why maybe i should do umat just in case?

With 3u maths out of the way, u can study Umat as a subject next year ( ie. set hours per day, replacing maths)
thats the beauty of acceleration more time to spend on other things :0

as far as i am concerned VetSci doesnt require UMAT?
but is STAT similar (which i need)

Don't be overwhelmed by umat prep this early on.

I guess practice papers is a really good way to prepare- I have 10 papers for $50 (check out my resources page in my signature)
