if you don't know what a UMAT is, then most noticeably you shouldn't be studying for it.

well OP wants do med 30%, so i wudnt expect too much to be known... but yeah UMAT is pretty much known everywhere
UNDERGRADUATE MEDICINE ( AND HEALTH SCIENCES) ADMISSION TEST.
Its where the basement study'ers and the ideal future doctors get differentiated, along with the interview of course

i generally know what it is. i was under the misconception that it was like a hsc version of those adorable ga tests back in the day, but apparently they're more situational?

Section 1 are logic questions
Section 2 is emotional respomse (hypothetical passages, the situational stuff)
Section 3 is patterns with shapes

UMAT is a 3 part test, that is required for specific courses in universities, Dentistry, Medicine,

section 2- understanding people
section 3- non verbal reasoning ie patterns

What's the general cut-off at USYD, UNSW, etc. for Dentistry in terms of ATAR and UMAT?
Are there any prerequisites or recommended knowledge for Dentistry?

USYD only offers postgrad dent. UNSW doesnt offer dent. The only undergrad dent course in NSW is Charles Sturt =\
