I really need a job. I'm bored sh*tless in the school holidays and on weekends and I really need some extra money.
Trouble is, i'm new to this. I'm 16 and in Year 11, I don't really have any good references aside from a couple of neighbours who I have done odd jobs for (for money) in the past. Some internet resources tell me not to bother with a resume for a first job, but just about every store website tells you to attach your resume to the application form. For acheivements and hobbies, i'm not really sporty and don't do any extracurricular activities, and my hobbies mainly consist of computers and gaming, not something worth bragging about.
I applied to about 10 or so places a couple of months ago, heard nothing, I assume that means I won't hear anything back from them. What kind of places do you recommend a 16 year old with no experience to apply to? I don't really want to work in fast food, the pay is sh*t, it's high pressure all the time and i've heard the staff aren't treated too well.
But yeah any advice/criticism on what i've said?
