just wondering if its all chill, stress or what?

our school just had half-yearlies at the end of last term, and our next big block of assessments are going to be our trial hsc weeks 2 and 3 of term 3.

From what I've heard, it is usually the time where people are mentally exhausted or burnt out, but need to study for the HSC => Stressful. I'm not sure but I hope I am wrong.

People told me they chilled. Then again you might as well go all the way from here...

Our trials were later than yours, but for us there was a bit of relaxing and winding down but still doing work and revising.

But by the last few weeks of the term we were just enjoying ourselves.

Most students tend to follow something like this:

IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE!!!

But seriously, my teachers said that some people peaked at Trials and it's very dangerous to not do anything afterward. That's why they stress the importance of keeping a consistent level of study all through the year (with necessary peaks for exams and the like) - so that after the trials, people don't get complacent. I mean, after the trials - that's great, congratulations and all but...

that's only half your HSC done.

I took a two week break after the trials - I reakon that it was one of the best things I did, as the rest really helped me in the long run. However, as shadowdude said, be very careful that you dont peak at the trials and drop off completely before the HSC.

The trials are harder than the actual HSC right?
Many schools strive for this but of course things go wrong like:

- Not finishing all topics in time for Trials
- Cramming topics in order to finish in time for Trials

So the Trial examination overall becomes easier than the HSC examination.

I heard that the trials seem harder because you have less time to prepare for it compared to the actual HSC.
Usually, your knowledge of the course content and familiarity with the exam is better by the HSC.

HSC is definitely harder than trials, I'd say.
