I was told that the only music that can help you learn is baroque music. Listen to 'Canon in D', it's great :)

Depends on the individual. Personally when I study I listen to music. Not classical like people recommend- just general stuff off my iPod. That works for me but others say its distracting. Basically, give it a go and see if it works for you.

The bad thing about listening to music is that you might remember it while you are doing an exam instead of the content :(

Wait, so you're asking 'Distraction or Motivation' but your poll answers are 'Yes/No'? Is it yes/no to distraction?

Really depends on the individual.

Music is distracting for me when doing something like English.
But I listen to music for Mathematics.

Hence why I find math study so much more entertaining.

It depends on the individual. But also, I think it also depends on the type of music and how loud you have it (i.e. so loud you can't think/concentrate properly)

Yes I love listening to One Direction and JB when I'm pumping down the maths equations.

Most of the time. I always listen to music when I'm doing maths. The only time I don't is when I'm doing essays for eco or english under exam conditions, and sometimes when I'm practicising short answer technique in phys and chem.

Maffs is like second nature so it's much easier to multi-task while doing maffs for me.
While, Engrish is just something I have to do in silence.

Anime OSTs for me is like drugs for maffs...
Especially dem OSTs which occur in fight scenes...

Same.. Although since I listen to music while doing maffs, it makes studying for other subjects really boring :/

Have you tried using music in your other subjects or are you assuming it won't work?
