Assessments and exams term 1:

Math: 48% (oh God I THOUGHT I'D GET KICKED OUT BECAUSE OF THIS KILL ME)
XMath: I think it was 72%?
Overall I'm now ranked 15/19 in XMath.
English: 16/20 for Change exam
and a narrative I haven't got marks or yet but I did terribly.
XEng: nothing term 1
Biology: okay this is my filler drop ASAP subject and I did a field study report and didn't even finish so I reckon I got like 20%.
Ancient: 18/20 for own choice world heritage site task, =1
Religion I: this is an accelerated course so grade 11 + 12 this year and hsc at end.
14.5/15 for own choice religion task =1
51/60 for source based exam 1st
currently 1st in SOR :3
Oh and I have the same teacher for SOR and Ancient and I'm coming first in both - gotta love her :)
Music: did a perf and a comp but no marks yet.

Not happy with Bio or that math exam, but okay.
Update: 85% on the narrative. Good for a last minute crappy plot that I hated :)

Chemistry - 31/32 (1st)

3U english - 23/25 (2nd)

I know this is a vague question, but how long/how do you study? Your marks are crazy awsome and I must know your secrets :)!

Well for maths, I do a lot of extra stuff- like outside of the syllabus maths and abstract variations of questions. So whenever I do a test, the questions are pretty standard and nothing out of the ordinary compared to what I've seen.

Physics/chemistry, the two marks were just research tasks, and I'm good at using the internet, so I found the information really easily.

English - I crammed so much for this haha. I spent like the whole weekend before my English exams preparing my essays.

Other than that, I just write notes for the syllabus for physics and chemistry, and do extracurricular maths.

Marks have been really good for the first term... :
Eng adv. First task: 9/10 (very poorly marked, teacher said mine was a 10/10. the average for this was 4 out of ten, including two Adv classes and the standards.) Second task: 16/20, (highest was 18/20) (It was a speech -.-')
Ancient hist. First task: 24/25 Second task: 23/25
Modern hist: 40/50 (highest was 41) and second task: 10/10

havent really gotten anything for Ext eng at the moment

And those are the only ones i really care about... but i got 19/20 for bio... It was a report. > LOL.

You guys are so damn smart! :O

I screwed some of my maths questions in my half yearly (logs!) and I may have lost a whole chunk off my eco extended response! (studied half of it the night before, which surprisingly helped heaps and the rest of the exam was easy). Now I'm expecting mediocre marks in english and maths, decent eco marks and the only good marks I'll be getting are in bio :( :( :(

All the assessment marks/ranks haven't been released yet at my school (teachers love taking their time marking).

However, EX1 maths was. Two people tied first with 92%. And I came second with 72%.

I can't fathom a reason for the huge gap between first and second. If this type of gap continues during the HSC, it'll be interesting to see what happens to our scaling lol.

Technically the Board of Studies takes in account of the spaces between the gaps in rankings when moderating school assessment marks, so try to close the distance from you and first place as much as possible! Or better yet, aim for first :)
