If you go into warehousing as I did when I was 17 it'll be a site wage not an age scale so you'll get in excess of $22 90% of the time. Flip side is the 4am starts.

Just google search a few Labor agencies, most will induct virtually anyone and you'll just get point in a waiting list sort of thing for a vacancy to emerge. Forklift license will accelerate your place in the waiting list for a little bit but otherwise it'll probably be three or four months(depending on your work availability.) They'll normally induct anyone though because having too many casuals on their books gives them a leverage over the unions.

I work at a tutoring centre (Not 17 yet, but turning 17 this year) and I get paid $40 for 3 hours, but I only work 3 hours in a week anyway. Good luck to you all applying for jobs! I've heard pizza hut/dominos pays alright, better than hungry jacks, based from classmates in my grade

just above minimum wage for a 16/yr old.. so I'm anticipating getting 9$ when i turn 17 in june cos its about 8.90 for 17yr olds.

its even worse for the other kid working there - he's 15 and getting paid 6$ or so

minimum wage is 7.30 for 16yr olds.
i just have a pretty stingy employer I guess... might go for a job at kmart next hols with a friend but right now i cbf
