What's the general mark/percentage needed before the finals for a D/HD? maybe a little bit higher than 75/85?

with math1131/1141/1151, you should be on or near 100% to get an HD. Even many people on 100% for the assessments do not get HD.

Well that's because you have like 65% or 85% weighted final exams.

it's dead hard to get everything near 100% before the finals. i doubt many people in MATH1151 actually achieve it.

(assuming a student is HD level)
how so? the class tests aren't difficult and they only take the best 3 out of 4.
the online tests are free marks. the only place you could lose marks is on the maple/matlab test.

Lots of people get close to 100% before the final exam. They say that unless you are averaging 70% on the class tests you are likely to fail and not many people fail 1151, so that must squash lots of people up.

I've only managed to get a 9 and 8 in my calculus test so far and screwed up my algebra test really bad. Does this severely disadvantage my chances of getting an HD in 1151?

they only count 3 of 4 of the class tests. so if you do get 9+/10 on the last one and ace your matlab test you could still get hd.

well i know that we have a booklet with practice problems and relevant commands for the matlab test on the math1151 moodle page. i was using it today. so yeah just go onto the moodle page.

got 100% before final, end up with a PS. most people are on atleast 80%+ average
