Hey guys it's getting so cold so I was wandering if you have any pieces of clothing or items you can wear underneath your school uniform/going out clothes you would highly recommend to buy. Do you know any good quality products so that I can minimise the layering and bulking up?

Something I've heard of from long ago is a bag called hand warmers (It's named differently depending on the brand) where....

1. You bend it around and snap some metal inside of it
2. It activates some kind of chemical reaction and the bag warms up
3. You slide it inside your pocket and TADA you are warm!

There are reusable and disposable ones depending on what you buy.

Anyways that's what I've discovered and will purchase soon. Do you guy have anything you swear by to keep you warm? :D

Buy a portable fire place.

I used to a wear a hoody under my school sports uniform sometimes (it wasn't very warm) when it was really cold until I got sent home.

On the flip side, I know in one of the ASB study rooms - someone brought in and left an electric fan for people to use.

Singlet --> skin tight full sleeve shirt --> shirt --> jumper --> jacket (if required)

This was my school uniform for extremely cold days.

I use leather jackets for uni now though, so warm and no need for so many layers, but I doubt you'll be allowed to wear one at school... we could though :p

Light exercise (e.g. jogging) is a great way to stay warm when outdoors

keep your head and neck warm. blood goes up there first before going to the rest of the body. an exposed neck could make the difference between a warm body and a cold one.

also, sleeping with a turtleneck in cold weather = the best.
