Unions essentially circumvent this by striking once in awhile to improve their conditions and generally there's no grounds to refuse. Look at Europe. They are in the shits right now because they have no idea what the word 'budget' means and they are more than happy to pander to people with the desire to bankrupt their country in their own interests.
Unions are a big fuck you to society and they are a foul organisation.
What I don't understand is why we can't get rid of unions and just use individual contracts. If you commit to a contract, you should see out that contract. There should be no lines to dispute the contract unless there has been a breach by the employer.Politicians have the power to scre up everything up and damage the economy too - and whilst I don't agree with the liberals opposition to everything they're doing what they think is best to protect their interests.
I think people have the right to strike, people want to protect their livelihoods, just as I think people have the right to protest to protect their interests. I don't buy into this whole protect the economy at all costs mantra.
Besides aren't the liberals supposed to support individual freedoms?
