Ranks Vs HSC performance (1 Viewer)

Hey Guys,

I Know that the person rank 1st gets the highest mark in the hsc (well most of the time), but what about the 2nd, 3rd . In other words does the person who got 2nd in rank get the 2nd highest mark etc?

Its moderated accordingly to the relative difference between ranks

so a person coming 2nd can beat the person coming 1st if their internal mark is relatively close and they beat them in the hsc?

Basically, the person ranked first internally receives the highest external mark from their cohort as their internal mark. Same goes for the person who comes last. The rest receive a moderated mark based on their internal rankings and the relative gaps between them. Potentially.

By beat, you mean overall HSC mark (Internal + external) ? Then yes, it is possible.
