Does anyone know how the HSC people mark our major works? As in, how many people will read our work, and how do they decide between them if they don't agree? What if one person hates it and another person loves it?

They are double marked. If there's a discrepancy, iirc, a senior marker steps in.

Are they very pedantic?

Pedantic on grammar, punctuation, etc. We've had ages to fix these nuances, so there is no excuse. But pedantic on major work concept, I'm not too sure. Guess it just depends on the marker and their subjectivity. Hence, why it is double marked :)

Yeah that. I hear they also get really annoyed on American spellings. So go through your spellchecker and make sure you spelled them the correct Australian way.
