So, with trials coming up, how many hours are you using to attend tuition per week? (Not including holidays even though mine runs as per usual through holidays).

I am at 5 and a half hours.

For most subjects its good to have a tutor go through, by either reinforcing concepts that you don't understand or giving you a headstart on the topic.
It is a way to get a competitive advantage though.

However, some students see tutoring as a magic wand to success, and its not.

tbh tutoring isn't needed
Neither is school. You're given the choice of a tutor, no one said it is needed. The same applies to an extent for school, you're free to drop out of school.

Some kids require tutoring because it's just an overall better environment. In some cases, tutoring is done one on one, which allows a student to receive more attention towards the work they're doing as opposed to in a classroom where the teacher's attention is split amongst 15-30 kids.

Although, it will not help you in the long term (i.e. in university, in the work force etc.)

I disagree.

If you put effort in you won't need tutoring
You only need tutoring if you need someone to stand on you to study
Although this is true.

Phys - 1.5
Eng - 1.5
2U/3U Maths - 2
So 5 hours at the moment.

Will become 7 if I do 4U tutor.
