Meh, I live in the area and am going to get 10 bonus points anyway, so yeah, it's definitely up there. UWS is so much closer for me too and it means that I don't have to catch god awful public transport to University and back.

I want to do Occupational Therapy and to me, that course doesn't seem like a course that would question an employers decision in hiring someone due to their university compared to that of a law degree.

If I get a scholarship for UWS, then 100% I'll be going there.

i guess the reason why people say its shit is because its in WESTERN sydney, and people usually look down on anything from western sydney. However i do know people that have gone to UWS and received high paying jobs at big firms ...
i thought the reason why people dont really want to go there was because it lacks a social life compared to usyd, unsw, maqu.

yeah for health sciences, its a choice between uws campbelltown and usyd lidcombe which is just about on par with each other.

Last year's UAC cut-off rank says UWS law is around 90.5.
You can get in with 80...
10 bonus points for band 5 or 6 in legal
10 bonus points for band 5 or 6 in business
10 bonus points for high bands in advanced and extension english

the list goes on..

5 points for living in greater western sydney...lmao you get points for living in your house...

I'd only consider UWS for Medicine assuming I had enough ATAR for Bachelor of Science (Advanced) at USYD.

Considering the majority of us have the opportunity to attend a University is amazing. So for anyone who assumes UWS is a bad University is their opinion, yet remember how privileged many of us are to even choose a Univeristy, let alone many others around the world never having that opportunity.

I think UWS is a great University, and I also know of people who have graduated and been very successful. It matters on how you use your experience in Uni and how much you make of it. Study hard, no matter what University and strive for your goal and hopefully one day see yourself experiencing your goal!

I live in wallacia, so I'm sort of biased toward the new campbelltown campus .. Really good facilities there :)
It's a university, facilities would have to be decent at any institution wouldn't they?

Facilities might be decent at most institutions but teaching quality, social life, prestige etc can vary quite a lot, from what I've seen.

Yeah I wouldn't have much of an idea about the teaching quality .. I know the prestige is somewhat muted for many reasons
Social life is a downer for all the non westerners, but for me it's not really a contributing factor for my education
