Well time is drawing near for yr 11 and 12.
I have decided what I would like to do:
B Commerce @UNSW or USYD
B Optometry@UNSW or USYD
B veterinary Science@UNSW or USYD
(I'll be picking one of these most likely)

I need an ATAR 98+
I live in a regional area.
I was wondering are these subjects good and peoples' views or experiences.
I'm a long time procrastinator but still finish the assignments on time.

Indonesian(by distance ed but there's a tutor)/French(school teacher)
Mathematics(maybe Ext1)
English Advanced
Chemistry/Physics/Biology

In yr 7 and 8 I really enjoyed science but I had difficulty understanding in Physics and Chemistry. Biology I found it quite straightforward.

I think optometry is accessible only in UNSW if you're talking around these regions. My sister is an optometrist from UNSW and she has told me herself there wasn't any other career she'd rather be in. Of course, this idea of enjoyment varies from person to person. Take some work experience up if you're keen for optom. My sister loves it and she totally recommended it to me if I had a knack for looking and observing eyes and how they function. I believe for optom, you will need to have subjects such as 3U maths, chem and physics although they are not prerequisites.

So what's your question exactly?

If it's "Are these subjects good?" Then yes, they are - if you find them good.

We can't tell you what subjects are good - you have to pick subjects yourself based on your interest, and then how well you think you can go in them.

"Are these subjects good?" is my question meaning is it relevance to my university or are they "too difficult" or is it a good choice to pick a language distance education. I heard it can be difficult for some people etc.

Thanks for the help so far guys.

Well for those subjects - I don't see any real problems in subjects you're doing, and what you want to do at uni.

And only you can figure out for yourself if a subject is too difficult, or if it's not going to be difficult to pick a language through distance education. It's not what you want to hear - but that's just the way it is.
