Subtitled or audio dubbing. Which do you prefer when watching foreign films?

Subtitles.

Dubs just don't cut it sometimes and the emotion isn't always conveyed as well, despite not being able to understand it anyway.

Dubs for non-live action.

I prefer dubs though.

I catch myself struggling to read the subtitles and it distracts from my attention to the actual show/film.

Also, if I look at something else for two seconds I can hear and understand the dubs but would have to pause the sub or something.

I put subtitles for everything whenever it is availiable. I really like how what is being said is also being written down at the same time.

I prefer Subs because I don't want to hear a random guy/girl speaking for an actor/actresses' voice... it ruins the film. (Vietnamese dubs kills my life)

amen, dubs are actually absolutely fucking terrible, for anime especially

hellsing's dub for alucard was actually quite good, i might go so far as to say that it even surpassed or was at least on par with the original but the other characters dubs were horrible
