net ionic eq with metal on acids (1 Viewer)

i am trying to do the following questions...

i am required to write net ionic equations for the above but i am getting confused with where numbers and +ve or -ve ions are meant to be written and where each of them come from
Could some one please explain this step by step :)

You ignore the species that doesnt participate in the reaction, on the first one its SO4. So write the same equation, with charges but WITHOUT SO4.

So
Zn + 2H+ --> Zn^2+ + H2

The zinc has been oxidised, and the hydrogen has been reduced. SO4 is ignored in the net ionic equation because it does not participate in the reaction. The states are respectively, solid, aqueous, aqueous, gas

Try the 2nd one urself, take out what DOESNT react. If u need help just ask.
Remember, charges must be balanced. By definition, an acid is something that produces hydrogen ions in solution. Thus the hydrogen ions produced must match the valency of the reacting metal. So with Zinc, which was 2+ charge, there were 2 hydrogens. in aluminium there are three, for its charge.a
