Yes, E4 is the highest extension band.Does it stop at E4 and why do people call it band E4 instead of band 6?
Scaling is carried out afresh each year. We can't possibly know until your cohort sits the HSC. Also, scaling involves your own school mark (UAC uses your raw exam mark + your moderated assessment mark), so there are way too many factors involved to give you a definitive answer.Which band would I need for extension 1 maths, if i wanted the scaling of it to be:
1. Decent (bare minimum for a positive scaling)
2. Great
Dont mind herI'm sorry! But I never knew what it meant
OkAlso, keep in mind that it doesn't really matter what the band are called. Just work hard and do the best that you can. Knowing the exact band cutoffs isn't really useful at all.
I thought it was:Yes, E4 is the highest extension band.
E4: 45-50
E3: 36-44
E2: 26-35
E1: 0-25
Because for extension subjects, it's out of 50. If you doubled the above values, it does not correspond to a single Band (1-6). E3 contains Band 4 and 5, E2 contains Band 2 and 3.
Yeah, you're right, I was working backwards so it looked a bit off.I thought it was:
E4: 45-50
E3: 35-44
E2: 25-34
E1: 0-24
OR
E4: 90-100
E3: 70-89
E2: 50-69
E1: 0-49
