I'm just wondering if you really need biology/mblg units to do good on pcol2011/2012? Any tips to do good on these subjects would be appreciated as well

Not at all. But be warned there are a lot and lot and a lot of drugs that need to be memorised on top of some physiology/anatomy/pathophys.

PCOL's are taught at quite a basic level. All you need to know would be taught in lectures.
