Hey guys!

I'm not sure how this works but I'm hoping for the best. Here are my final ranks and my school prescribed estimates based off my half yearly performance.

Advanced English Final Rank : 1/126
English Extension 1 Final Rank : 1/45
English Extension 2 Final Rank : 3/8
Legal Studies Final Rank : 3/10
Mathematics 2U Final Rank : 40/93

Society & Culture Aligned HSC (Accelerated) Mark : 90

Now my school gave us estimates based off our half yearly assessments for early scholarship applications, etc. These are them and my ranks by the Half Yearly

Advanced : 1/126 : 95
Extension 1 Eng : 2/60 : 46
Extension 2 Eng : 2/13 : 44
Legal Studies : 5/11 : 90
Mathematics : 27/74 : 93 (We had 19 accelerated students join our cohort)

My school ranks in the top 20s and in the top 10 for Math each year.

Cheers!

I reckon you may have even been underestimated for ext 1 + ext 2. 2nd in a top 20 school only scrape an e4? :/

With that in mind, keep studying!!
When they did those estimates they used the last 3 years' cohorts performances to get a rough guide of how people at their ranks went overall in the HSC. Last year was a bit of a dud and they only got 4 E4s overall in Extension 1 and none at all in Extension 2. Also my half yearly performance wasn't as strong as my trials were :p

Know that feeling. If your school rank/performance varies quite a bit then you're probably the best person to guess your atar, not really us.
Like my school has had ranks from 70-190 in the past 4 years so i know if i ask for an atar estimate, it won't really *that* accurate :)

Anyways, 'mirin your adv english mark :p

Yeah they capped the 1sts in the subjects at the highest achieved last year so I'm not even sure how accurate they are anymore.

Hahaha, thank you :) Speaking of, what do you reckon the belonging theme will be this year? I think it'll be something related to relationships, community, or identity.

Something generic like that (i can mould my essay to any of those luckily) :p. Best to start a predictions thread imo in the 2012 hsc section :)
