Certainly not the most horrendous writing I have seen, but still it isnt the best. I reckon a bit of effort and time will go a long way to be honest.
Thanks:) Yeah, I know. I just don't know how to teach myself how to write again ..

Have you received any help or guidance on how to write properly? Since you have 1 more year to go you still have time to retrain yourself. From my own observation, it is very difficult to re-learn to write properly. I just don't understand why! I'm baffled as to why something as easy as handwriting has to be that difficult?

I've shown a number of students how to write - but most of them fail to improve. To learn how to write, get someone over 40 (or 50??) to show you how. Younger people mostly do not know how to write.

I'm sure if someone is determined enough, he/she should be able to learn to write decently.
You sound so helpful! :) I was just told to apply for the allowances thing ... not really offered help but frequently told "this needs to be addressed" . I might ask my English teacher tomorrow for some help and see if she's willing.

Please note that you can't get special provisions just for having 'messy' or 'illegible' handwriting. There has to be a medical reason so putting in an application will need a lot of supporting evidence.

You may even have to attend some sort of tests done by specialists etc.

The other thing to note is the most of the time it is a scribe that is provided and not the ability to type (typed responses are very very rare - I can remember 3 or 4 over 20 years of marking - not 3 or 4 per year but 3 or 4 or 1 every 5 years).
Thanks :) I'll soon find out .

Try writing at an angle. your letters dont have to be 100% clear and easy to read, but its better if the flow of your writing is smooth.
this is an example of my writing:
i write fairly small, but if you continue to practice (you have a year) you'll be fine by the time your HSC comes around :)
Best of Luck c:
Thankyou so much!
I have being trying slanted writing but it just gets more illegible :S
Are you left of right handed?

Im right handed, but i have friends who are left handed, i know they say its a little hard sometimes, but with practice, its really easy. :)
Make sure that each letter is easy to loop to the next word when you do slanted writing.
I used to write really small and i would press really hard into the paper cause i wanted each word to be perfect. lets just say my teacher needed a magnify glass to read my writing.
and then i did a bit of research of slanted writing, im not sure if you did this in primary school or kindergarten, but i used to get books that allowed me to follow an originally printed word and i would copy it to make sure my writing flowed.
These books have helped me a lot. You can buy these books at nearly every educational based stores. They're usually aimed for little children, but there's no harm in buying one and improving your handwriting by at least 50% for your hsc next year :)

Here's an example i just found:

Here's the link for more writing:

Something similar to that as a start will be helpful. i know it seems really simple, but its about the structure of your writing that is a problem for now. I hope they help. if not, try searching for techniques for easy to learn running writing :)

I have a physical condition with my hand that makes the ligaments stop functioning after about 20 mins of solid writing. Even I am not able to get a laptop for exam writing, I am only entitled to rest breaks. My writing flatlines as I go along, seriously the last paragraph of most of my essays are literally straight lines.
