It's mainly because the test was easier than usual (even though i found it not as easy as i expected), just wondering, would an 86-90 be adequate enough for a band 6?

+1. The cutoff for the old syllabus was about 80, and the new syllabus is no easier. Arguably easy exam today, maybe 81/82, not 85/6/7.

WOuld agree. I said mid 80;s because of

A- it was pretty easy
B- It is usually low 80's

Umm, roughly a mid 80's mark will guantee you a band 6. Not sure about the absolute minimum

I reckon 83-ish. 86+ is ridiculous, I mean I know it was a fairly easy test, but it wasn't that easy. And yeah, given that past years have been pretty much on or around 80, maybe a couple higher this year because of new syllabus and easy exam, so 83 or at most 84 would be a 90-91 I think.

I highly doubt it will be as high as 83, this years difficulty wasn't really any 'easier' than previous years, in fact probably harder due to the new syllabus.
