With the typical Personalities question; conflicting images and interpretations of your Personality was a bit tricky when they decided to ask how the interpretations have EVOLVED OVER TIME. I mean sure I could produce a whole thesis on how Hellenocentric and Persian bias sources differ in their representations of King Xerxes, but to ask how those representations have specifically changed over time is a bit unfair. What were they expecting? Us to have memorized 25 different sources, one for every century since his death, demonstrating how each representation has differed form the last?

Kind of annoyed. Remind anyone else of English's Changing Belonging "over the passage of time"?

OMGGG THIS! I agree with you entirely.. Lmao I think they based it on the theme of English.. but yeah seriously over time? I think all personalities were in the same boat. The question wasnt too bad but the "time" bit really wasn't necessary.

Haha yeah I know how you feel, I feel a bit picky complaining about a question on the affects of time in a History exam, but those non-History people just won't understand lul But srsl the representations of my Personality Xerxes haven't even changed that much over time, they have always been bad from a Greek POV and good from a Persian POV. Apart from modern ultra representations, which I then made reference to 'The 300 Spartans' (1962) and 'The 300' (2006), do you think using these sources was a bit too inappropriate :S?

As long as you had the conflicting ideologies of Ancient, Modern and Visual sources then you're fine.

You contrast the Ancients with each other (through bias, context ect), then speak of how these views have been re-evaluated/re-interpreted by the modern sources (create an argument), then you contrast the numismatic evidence (visual constructs & propaganda) from the past with the visual evidence today.
