I don't know about everyone else but my class wasn't very prepared for the first extended response. I had prepared a Judaism response but decided to do a Christianity one on Pope John 23. Ended up alright, I think.

Other than that, I thought multiple choice was easy, 5-markers were alright and three-parters were pretty expected.

Question 2 I thought was C, not B.

Question 9 I got D, but I wasn't sure.

Question 10 I thought it was A, not sure.

We got the rest the same.

2 was definately B.

And yeah, 9 & 10 are really hard to distinguish between. I put 10A then crossed it out and wrote D :| I didn't think that the word totem & kinship went together in that sense.

Then again, I think I might be wrong.

Far out, I was sure 2 was C, but I just looked it up. Damn 2011 census. I never get those demographics questions wrong.

Agreed with 9 and 10.

Good exam. I wasn't prepared to write 20 marks on Maimonides, though.

Overall, the test was pretty good. Personally I think the multiple choice last year was much easier >.<

1D
2C > Screwed that, I dunno I read somewhere that the Anglican denomination was at a steady adherent decrease 2% every 5 years? or something
3A
4D
5C
6B
7B
8A > Don't ask. I just didn't know so I put anything XD
9D > This, I was pretty certain on. They believe that the body returns to the ancestors to be reborn again.
10A > Kinship does regulate obligations to the land and people (example; relationships). It also influences who one could marry. Totemism + Kinship was pretty straightforward.

12D
13- < Didn't read this properly v.v.. ashamed to put down what I had
14C
15A
16B
17A
18B
19C
20D
21C > It does not say they will accept that the existence of a transcendant or divine reality exists. It is likely that out of a Humanist/Scientist/Atheist that an Agnostic is more likely to accept out of fear upon transcendental judgement but no, it doesn't say they 'agree' in certainty but more as a possibility. Therefore, I put false for the first statement and statement 2 speaks for itself.

I don't even remember what I put for M/C, the 5 markers were easy, I had a massive memory black for the 15 marker for Judaism and I think I got my ethics mixed up on with my other religions (the idea of sexual ethics and having a memory blank whether or not we did Bioethics or Sexual ethics). Anyway, the 20 marker for Christianity (did St Paul), I struggled to write heck of a lot because there is so much you can write about Paul. But peace question was lovely.

It was bad that it was asking for one religion because I could write more (I decided to go with Buddhism over Islam because of content wise).
Yeah, people after the exam said the same.
Prefer to do two religious traditions (Christianity and Islam), I had previously done an essay on peace, inner peace and world peace for both but only used Christianity, which I'm pretty sad about because I had some good links between the two which could of made my response longer than it was.. oh wells.. :I glad its over, hehe.

For what I can remember, I stated that from sexual/bio/environmental ethics they believe and the stance of x & y is x (x & y are what they believe so for example, in Christianity for sexual ethics is homosexuality and pornography are a big no and their stance is evident by the influence of Natural Law.

with the ethics part a and b, what were they after for part b? like, if you were doing jewish bioethics, and said two teachings were 1. abortion only when the baby is hurting you and 2. no euthanasia, then in part b, this is the part i dont really get: were you meant to choose one of these eg abortion then say how it influenced their lives... so like this teaching means they cant just abort babies willy nilly? what were they wanting? cos it was 5 marks and i felt i crapped on a bit..

Abortion and euthanasia arnt ethical teachings, you had to use references from the old testament and relate it to like moral law and the covenant i think

i loved the religion and peace essay :) hopefully full marks
the christianity essay was alright but it was hard to write heaps just about saint paul
the ethics part of the short answer was pretty annoying
MC quite ambiguous and few of them were quite tricky
i love CSSA cause they pretty much predicted the two short answer questions :)
